The purpose of this organization shall be to foster a spirit of cooperation and friendly competition among the Catholic parishes/schools of San Mateo County. This program shall strive to enrich our students physically and socially by developing practices of good sportsmanship, encouraging participation, and building self-esteem in all participants.

Saint Veronica Catholic School/Parish Athletics program (SV Athletics) is based on the philosophy that each child is unique with individual needs and concerns.

At St. Veronica, the emphasis on sports is placed on the development of the child’s skills: social, psychological, and physical. This necessitates teaching sportsmanship, a healthy competitive spirit, teamwork, commitment, and plain fun.

The Athletic Director, Commissioners, and Coaches adhere to this Catholic philosophy of sports. All children, regardless of abilities, have an equal opportunity to participate in our sports program. Students participating in the parish's Faith Formation program are also welcome to join.

AT PPSL EVENTS - PLEASE READ!

With the PPSL regular season underway, this is a reminder for spectators to abide by the PPSL rules regarding Behavior and Sportsmanship as mentioned below. When attending games at St Veronica or any other venue, please treat officials, game staff, and athletes with respect. Please cheer and support your athletes, but verbal/physical abuse of officials, game staff, and athletes will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate ejection and possible suspension.
